Further information will be added here as time permits.
Sections that are in the pipeline include - - The early curling ponds of Eddleston
- The story behind the club badge
In the meantime get an insight into the club and its menbers, as it was, over 150 years ago. Read the extracts from the original minutes.
You might also be surprised to learn that the club's original president, William Forbes MacKenzie of Portmore, was a member of parliament and was the man responsible for an act of parliament in 1852 that closed all Scottish pubs on Sundays. Perhaps he wanted the local curlers to practice a bit more.
I'm sure that most members, and anyone with an interest in curling, will want to learn more about the earlier days of the club.
If anyone has any information or stories then please pass it on to Gordon Stephen who will add it into the website for everyone to enjoy.
